Location Photo Shoot for Tweedy Clothing

Another photo shoot for Tweedy Clothing but this time Tweedy were looking for more ‘lifestyle‘ type shots for social media and their website. The Tweedy store is in Southsea in Portsmouth. Southsea is a pretty cool area full of bars and indy shops as well as some grand terraces and a shingle beach on the sea front. I figured it would be a great location for the shoot and we would be right next to the store which of course has all the clothes and a changing area for the models.

The shoot was in April and it was pretty cold. The sky was overcast, but on the plus side I didn’t have to worry about harsh shadows from shooting in bright sunlight.

Right across from the shop was a beautiful and colourful mural on the red brick wall. How handy was that! I was a bit wary of shooting against the mural as it can make for a distracting background so I didn’t get to that until the end of the shoot but the images turned out great.

As you can see one of the models Hayley had beautiful red hair. A few doors down was a pub with some palms planted outside which I figured would make a cool background for a portrait.

I couldn’t resist a trip to the beach. We found a quietish spot. The muted tones of the sky and sea worked well against the bright clothing. One of my favourite shots is of model Ollie on the beach with the sea behind him. Ollie is wearing bright yellow dungarees and there is a yellow navigation aid in the sea behind him. Cool how that worked out.

All in all it was a fantastic few hours and despite the cold and the overcast skies some fab images were created for Tweedy.
