The Life Of Reilly
Karma
This film clip is of the band Life Of Reilly and was filmed at
their final gig in Jersey. As you can see it was a great gig and
Life of Reilly were a stunning band.
The lead singer and main man is none other than my old mate Billy
Mullacky. Billy is an ex-Happy The Man member too. A while after
that band split up Billy re-located to Jersey and formed Life
Of Reilly. Billy was of course a great Waterboys fan, as I was
and so it is no co-incidence that I have picked out the Waterboys
covers from the dozen or so tracks in the set. Billy certainly
got together an excellent bunch of musicians who promptly nicknamed
him 'Billy The Fish'. I am not sure whether that was because he
was singing about fishermen and strange boats or it was because
of his drinking prowess. A true Glaswegian!!
This track 'Karma' was the opening number of the set.
